Back in 1904, St. Louis WAS THE PLACE. It not only hosted the Olympics, but also a World’s Fair. If you’ve been there lately, it’s hard to imagine St. Louis as a center of world culture, but these pictures from the 1904 World’s Fair has made me a believer.
