Owners of the upstart New Orleans Advocate newspaper are purchasing the venerable New Orleans Times-Picayune with plans to bring back a seven day a week daily newspaper. Hurrah! But then the Advocate owners sent a layoff notice to every single member of the Times-Pic staff.
