In June 2013, the cargo ship MOL Comfort carrying over 4,000 containers broke in two while sailing in the Indian Ocean. It was towed for ten days with the two pieces hanging together before the stern broke off. Then, incredibly, the bow section was towed for another thirteen days before it caught fire and sank. The entire crew was rescued.
